Description
The Shishigashira is unlike any other Japanese Maple. It is composed of an arrangement of compacted semi-glossy, heavily curled, dark green leaves. The deep green color will last until Fall and when other Maple trees begin to drop their leaves, the Shishigashira leaves will burst into glamorous colors. At this time the foliage becomes red and purple with a golden pattern. These colors give this specimen the name Shishigashira which means "Lion's Mane". 13 years old, 16-17" tall.
